Google Ads Authorization
When you connect your Google Ads account to CrewFlow, you authorize our platform to access your Google Ads data and manage campaigns on your behalf. This page explains exactly what we do, what we do not do, and how to revoke access.
What you are authorizing
By clicking “Connect Google Ads”, you grant Edge Services access to the following via the Google Ads API:
- Read your campaign data — campaign names, IDs, statuses, channel types, and budget information so we can display them in your dashboard.
- Read your spend metrics — daily, monthly, and historical ad spend so we can enforce your spend caps and detect anomalies.
- Read your billing status — whether your Google Ads billing is active, pending, or cancelled, so we can pause campaigns before they accrue charges without payment.
- Pause and resume your campaigns — based on rules you configure (spend caps, lead feedback, billing status). We never change your bids, keywords, or ad copy without your explicit action.
- Upload offline conversions — when a lead is qualified or a job is closed-won, we upload conversion data back to Google Ads so your campaign reporting is accurate.
- Create new campaigns — when you request it, we can create new Search campaigns with budgets, ad groups, responsive search ads, and geo targeting.
What we do NOT do
- We do not see or store your Google password.
- We do not charge your Google Ads payment method. Ad spend is billed directly by Google to your Google Ads account.
- We do not sell your Google data to third parties.
- We do not use your Google data for advertising unrelated to your own campaigns.
- We do not allow humans to read your Google data except when you request support, for security, to comply with law, or with your explicit consent.
- We do not modify your account settings, payment methods, or user access.
How we store your data
- OAuth tokens — Your Google access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption. They are never logged, never exposed to the browser, and never shared with third parties.
- Campaign data — Campaign names, IDs, statuses, and spend metrics are stored in our database to power your dashboard and orchestration rules.
- Lead data — Call and form lead data (phone numbers, attribution IDs like gclid, campaign associations) is stored to link leads to campaigns and optimize performance.
Manager Account (MCC) linking
If you choose to link your existing Google Ads account to our Manager Account (MCC):
- We send a link requestto your Google Ads account. This appears as a pending invitation in your Google Ads account under “Account access.”
- You approve the request in Google Ads (one click). Until approved, we cannot access your account.
- Once approved, we manage your campaigns using our MCC tokens. You can revoke the link at any time from your Google Ads account settings.
If you choose to create a new Google Ads account through our platform:
- We create a new Google Ads client account under our MCC using our credentials.
- The account is automatically linked to our MCC (no separate approval needed).
- We invite you as a user on the new account. You receive an email from Google and click “Accept” to gain access.
- You retain full ownership of the account and can unlink from our MCC at any time.
How to revoke access
You can revoke our access at any time using any of these methods:
- In CrewFlow:Go to Settings → click “Disconnect Google Ads.” This immediately clears all stored tokens from our database.
- In Google Account: Visit Google Account permissions and remove CrewFlow from the list of authorized apps.
- In Google Ads: Go to Settings → Account access → remove the Manager Account link.
After revocation, we immediately lose API access to your account. We may retain historical data (spend, leads, campaign states) as described in our Privacy Policy.
